Jigs are manufacturing tools that guide the cutting or machining tool to maximise precision and quality.
Fixtures hold the component securely in place whilst it is being worked on, and are often pieces that have been specifically made to fit a particular shape or part. Introducing a fixture to your manufacturing process speeds up the production and reduces the chances for human error to occur.
Investing in jig and fixture manufacture benefits your business
Using jigs and fixtures helps our customers maintain a repeatable process in their parts and components manufacture, which in turn improves the precision and quality of their finished products.
Customers who invest in jigs, fixtures and assembly tools, can derive significant benefits. They can improve the quality of their components, thereby reducing the cost of waste. They can accelerate production by eliminating the time spent using traditional tools like height gauges and centre punches. They can be the first to market with new products. They can improve their bottom line.
Some of our jig and fixture manufacture projects…
Turbine blade machine fixture holder
This was produced for a well-known aerospace manufacturer to allow accurately holding of turbine blades for machine finishing.
Trimming and drilling jigs
These are an essential part of the rotational moulding industry and are used to accurately drill and trim parts to the required profile. We have built water tank and automotive fixture drilling jigs as well as litter bin trimming jigs.
CNC machine holding fixtures
We were tasked with reverse engineering the existing parts, designing the pattern equipment, and sourcing the castings to complete the projects.
